A lexandra terHorst is an accomplished writer and co-author of the books, “Being Human: Exploring The Forces That Shape Us And Awaken An Inner Life” and “The Other Way Home: A Guide For Seniors Who Live With Their Children.” A self-proclaimed “eclectic American”, she was born in the west (Portland, Oregon) raised in the south and educated the east. She has hop-scotched the U.S., living and working in Dallas, Denver, Houston, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and most recently, the breathtaking mountains of western North Carolina.

Ms. terHorst’s fascination with why people feel, act, and think the way we do led her to pursue a BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia in 1979. She has worked for a division of Baxter Travenol Laboratories, Inc. (now Baxter International) and the American Management Associations. From 1995-2003, she owned her own consulting business where she developed her keen project management and writing skills. She is involved both personally and professionally with projects that include environmentally sustainable components.
