A lexandra terHorst is an accomplished writer and co-author of the books, Being Human: Exploring The Forces That Shape Us And Awaken An Inner Life and “The Other Way Home: A Guide For Seniors Who Live With Their Children.” A self-proclaimed “eclectic American”, she was born in Portland, Ore., raised in California and Texas, and educated in Virginia. She has hop-scotched the U.S., living and working in Dallas, Denver, Houston, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Asheville, North Carolina, and Portland, Oregon.

Ms. terHorst’s fascination with why people feel, act, and think the way we do led her to pursue a BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia in 1979. Her work experience includes Baxter Travenol Laboratories, Inc. (now Baxter International) and the American Management Associations. From 1995-2003, she owned her own consulting business, where she developed her keen project management and writing skills.
